Synopsis:
Earth is placed under the administration of a seemingly benevolent alien power. While some people resist, many embrace the new world of peace and prosperity the aliens have to offer, not aware that it comes at a price.

Impressions:
Ironically, I came across this because I was drawn to the promos for The Expanse, which aired at the same time. I ultimately didn't connect with The Expanse, but I saw this one through to the end. It's a nice aversion to the typical alien invasion story and it raises some good questions about how we define ourselves as humans. I particularly liked Charles Dance as Karellen. I'd say it's worth checking out and since it's only a miniseries, it's an easy decision to make.
