Impressions:
We've already seen the basic idea of a school parody of Attack on Titan with the Tondeke! Kunrenheidan omake series and the main new thing this series brings to the table is a setting shift to a Japanese middle school with all the tropes that come with it. There are plenty of nods and winks to the original series and the characters are flanderized to comedic extremes. Some of it works better than others but it's all generally entertaining. There are some spoilers for people who have only seen the anime, but if you don't know what those spoilers are, you probably won't catch them. This would be middle of the road at best if it weren't for the AoT fanservice. Admittedly, such a lighthearted take on such a dark series may be uncomfortable for some people. Fans of Attack on Titan will probably enjoy it, but there may not be as much to offer for everyone else. I'm still going to recommend giving it a watch, though.
