Impressions:
In the first season, I thought the story moved a bit too fast, but we slow down more in this one. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of where the storytelling priorities lie. Goh and Anna's relationship is supposed to be at the crux of the story, but it gets very little focus. You'd think hashing out the tensions in the Goh-Anna-Mira love triangle would be one of the main conflicts, but it's mostly left unaddressed until the climax. We have some focus episodes on the other pilot pairs, but none of them feel as effective as the episode the Valentines got last season. With so many balls getting dropped, and Goh's constant primal screaming, this was rather disappointing. There's still some merit to be found, but you're probably not going to be all that satisfied in the end. Take it or leave it.
