Impressions:
This is one of those series that fits comfortably into the mid-tier viewing of a season. The premise was enough to catch my interest. It treads some familiar ground, but I did like the idea of Dariel acting as an intermediary between the human and demon worlds. It would've been nicer still if he didn't end up having superpowers and the resolution to conflicts would hinge largely on his skills of negotiation, but we can't not have an OP protagonist, now can we? (I suppose no mere mortal would be able to survive Marika.) The themes of reconciliation are good, but being brought to their logical conclusion may make the finale feel a bit cheap. (It worked for me, but that's a discussion for another day.) Overall, this series is nothing amazing, but I don't think you'd regret giving it a watch. I certainly didn't.
