Impressions:
This season should make the fans quite happy. We get plenty of fun episodes such as the epic rap throwdown, all leading into the excellent culture festival arc that ends with the current high point of the series. We get more of an Ishigami focus as we're building up his arc (though the payoffs will come later), so that's good for fans of his. Maki becomes a proper secondary member of the cast instead of just being Background-chan and I actually like her quite a bit. Production values maintain the level of quality you've come to expect. The only real criticism I have is that the mind games that made the original premise so much fun have fallen to the wayside, but this is the direction the story is taking, so hopefully the way you enjoy the series adapts with the way the story changes. As my main investment is the characters and I like how they're growing, I'm still fully on board and would gladly recommend adding this to your collection.
