The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You (2025)
[君のことが大大大大大好きな100人の彼女]
Season 2

Director: Hikaru Sato
Studio: Bibury Animation Studios
Starring: Wataru Kato, Kaede Hondo, Miyu Tomita
Episodes: 12
Synopsis:
Rentarou's harem continues to grow, but can he given them all the love and attention they deserve as more and more girls get added to the Rentarou Family?
Impressions:
We have twelve episodes to introduce and integrate five new girls into the Rentarou Family. Now, you might be worried that the seams will start to be shown by this point (and by the end we've barely cracked the 10% mark), but there's a fairly reliable pattern of introducing the new character then allowing an episode to adust the group to accommodate them. There's even the nice touch of a bit of a back-to-basics two-parter at the end focusing on Karane. One of the series' charm points is just how strong the sense of mutual affection is. Rentarou loves his girls and they not only love him right back but they also love each other (some a little too much in the case of Hakari and Karane). You get pairs that play up certain dynamics, like the new youngest member getting caught in the orbit of the oldest one, the shy girls hitting it off, the masochist and the violent tsundere, etc. The humor is as off the walls as effort, arguably even amped up compared to last season, and the translator is nearly Ghost Tales level of wild (though still grounded in the intent of the original script). There's also a lot of fourth wall humor that really told me the whole production was having a ball with this one. There is a bit of Flanderization with some of the characters, but that's about the only significant flaw I could see. If you know what this series is and like it for that, then you're going to have quite a bit of fun with this season. It's got my vote for the collection and I'll be interested to see where things go from here.
