Impressions:
You should know all the praise I heaped on the first season, so I was pleased as punch to get a continuation so soon. I'm happy to report that there's not the slightest dip in quality on any front. We get fewer of the episodic mysteries in favor of the big plot that's been building up from the previous season. I was actually surprised when the second half outstripped the manga, but because the original light novels are much farther ahead, we don't have to worry about any issues of the anime getting ahead of the source. If you're hoping for progress with Maomao and Jinshi's relationship. If you've heard other fans hint about a frog incident, you'll soon see why they've been hyping that up. There's a big twist that happens in the second half and I have to admit that I didn't catch it until mere minutes before it was made explicit, so try to see if you can use your detective skills to catch it before I did. This was a delight to watch and I can happily recommend adding it to your collection.
