Synopsis:
An MMO player finds himself inhabiting the body of his character, Lufas Maphaal the Black-Winged Conqueror, once she is unwittingly revived by a botched summoning ritual.
Impressions:
The premise is basically Overlord with Angel Mommy instead of Bone Daddy if Ains had to travel the world to assemble the Floor Guardians. Similar to Overlord, there's some manner of restriction that mostly keeps our human protagonist in character to spare Lufas of the sort of cringe you'd see in How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, though I could do without him entirely and just let Lufas be Lufas, perhaps played as a bit comically serious with the odd quirk or two. However, the reincarnated in a game world scenario does have some twists and turns to it that are fairly interesting. The cast is fairly colorful and there is some nice skullduggery going on (though one twist perhaps being telegraphed a little more than necessary). As far as production values go, things look rather nice with some fairly impressive set pieces when it counts. While nothing superlative, this is a solid series and worth a watch.
