Impressions:
From the OP alone, it's made clear that this season has a significant tone shift and I like that the first season was paced such that the finale marked the pivot. Whereas the first season focused on the fun of the night, here we turn more to the danger, embodied in Uguisu who has positioned herself as the archnemesis of all the vampires. I thought it was a good casting choice having Miyuki Sawashiro in the role and that really gets born out in this season. Digging into both her backstory and Nazuna's is quite rewarding and Uguisu's big Halloween plot near the season's end is a great payoff for everything that's been building up so far. Even with the darker turn, the series' sense of humor hasn't been completely subsumed, so there are nice moments of levity to balance out the heavier elements. If you liked the first season, this is a no-brainer. It's definitely worth a place in your collection.
