Impressions:
After having... *ahem* experienced Troll 2, I felt like I needed something to help make sense of what I'd just subjected myself to, and I remembered this documentary. This being the brainchild of the main star, I feel, lends it a more even-handed and sensitive approach than one of the wild fans or someone who's out to mock the film. Michael Stephenson does a pretty good job of portraying things neutrally, letting the audience come to their own conclusions. You get to see the sharp contrast between the film's cult following and how it's received in the larger sphere of horror fandom. There are some good insights to be had and this serves as a useful bit of film history, even if you don't think Troll 2 is that consequential in the grand scheme of things. As a companion piece to the main film, I highly recommend it. Give it a watch.
