Impressions:
This is another one of those films I watched quite a bit as a kid (but probably shouldn't have given some of the content). The premise is fairly simple but effective. We have a collection of Irish misfits faking a haunting in an actual haunted castle with a nice collection of suckerstourists to get roped into the madness. Peter O'Toole in particular is a treat as he drunkenly hams it up and probably Martin Ferrero is the most fun among the tourists as a parapsychologist trying to debunk the haunting of the castle. Rewatching it as an adult, the romance between Jack and Mary is a little undercooked, but this is more comedy than love story, so it does what it needs to do. It's a decent bit of fun and well enough worth a watch.
