Impressions:
We have the introduction of King Ghidorah with a teamup of Godzilla, Rodan and Mothra to take him on. Sounds pretty hype, right? Well, I certainly wish it was as good as it sounded. Oh, there's some interest with the assassination plot, the Venusian Prophetess and such, but there's a lot of meandering with the human plotlines, which you might be able to overlook if the monster action lived up to expectations, but the fight choreography isn't great, Godzilla relying on doing a lot of punting and chucking rocks. It's also really discordant how the score cuts between Godzilla and Rodan's themes. Neither are given the space they need to breathe and so they lose a lot of their impact. A lot of the antics with the random civvies was rather annoying too. I won't quite go so far as to say pass on this entirely, but even saying take it or leave it, it's not a very enthusiastic suggestion.
