Fire Emblem: Sword of the Conqueror - Volume 10 (2005)

Author: Hiroshi Izawa
Artist: Kotaro Yamada
Publisher: Jump Comics

Synopsis:
Roy and Al face King Zephyr to bring the war to an end.

Story/Characters:
Most of this volume is just Roy and Al's confrontation with Zephyr. He puts up a suitable boss fight and our two heroes have to go all-out to get through it. We get a flashback to help provide something of a Freudian excuse for why Zephyr turned out the way he did. Whether you feel this earns him any sympathy or not is up to you. This could have easily been where we wrap things up, but there's a cliffhanger for one final fight to go.

Art:
This continues with the high bar set by the previous volume. There isn't as much focus on large-scale battles as there is on the main boss fight. A lot goes into the duel with Zephyr. The effects for when Zephyr tries to seal Al are also quite good.

Other:
We get character sheets for Dragon Lord Al (now Level 7) and Master Lord Roy, fanart, the Q&A column and the afterword comic.

Conclusion:
You might think the Zephyr fight gets dragged out a little too long, but this is what would normally be the final boss fight, so they're going to give you your money's worth. Give it a read.
