Penthouse (1933)

Director: WS Van Dyke
Starring: Warner Baxter, Myrna Loy, Charles Butterworth
Synopsis:
A lawyer for mobsters finds his life on the line when he agrees to defend his ex's new boyfriend, framed for murder by a ruthless gangster.
Impressions:
I mostly gave this one a shot because of Myrna Loy. It's not a terribly exceptional film, but it does its job well enough. It's one of many crime films from the era and if you're a fan, then you should like it well enough. However, nothing really stands out about it, so you won't miss much by passing on it.
