How can a man be expected to solve a double murder with all the constant nagging? Actually, Shayne's fianc&eaute;e here is just an intermittant presence and not much of a factor. The mystery here is halfway decent and there are a few mildly interesting twists and turns, but this is overall a fair bit weaker of a film than the previous two. I mentioned in the review for Sleepers West, that if you're not a fan of the sort of comic relief relegated to black people in films of this era, you won't like the shenanigans involving the stage hands. Shayne's back to extensive lawbreaking this time around, so that's something, I guess. This isn't terrible by any means but it's not must-see either unless your a completionist. Take it or leave it.
