Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968)

Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968)

Director: Freddie Francis
Starring: Christopher Lee, Rupert Davies, Veronica Carlson

Synopsis:
A revived Dracula seeks revenge on the monsignor who exorcised his castle by seeking to claim his niece.

Impressions:
This movie has some decent elements to it, but it's definitely a step down from Dracula: Prince of Darkness. At least that movie succeeded at building some suspense. There are some interesting qualities to the character dynamics with the building of a conspiracy of Dracula's thralls, but that falls apart somewhat. At least Dracula got some lines this time around, but I still want more than the script can deliver. It's watchable enough, but temper your expectations.
