Impressions:
With my antipathy for the counterculture movement, I'm not going to view this film as fondly as some. Even so, I think it's worth seeing as a contemporary view of the times from that perspective. It's a very rough film, but that's kinda the point. It went a long way toward making Peter Fonda a star and also set Jack Nicholson up for his rise. The acid trip sequence will really do a number on you. People who are more on the same page with the culture the film represents will have a lot more to like, but even people on the other side of the fence like me can appreciate this movie's cultural and historical significance. Give it a watch.
