Impressions:
I'm sure I'm not the only one to call this movie the spiritual successor to The Longest Day, and if you've got a free evening, that'd make for quite the double-feature. Much like its esteemed predecessor, this is a big war movie that assembles a large international ensemble cast for some of the finest cinematic portrayal of the events of WWII you'll find. There are a lot of big names to find here and plenty of laudable performances. If you're a WWII buff and you haven't seen this yet, do so. I highly recommend it.
