Impressions:
While I wouldn't call Cahill, US Marshal an exceptional film, it's nevertheless a solid one and it explores some themes I find interesting. I like exploring a character who's done well in his line of work but has failed in his parental responsibilities and the consequences of that failure. I also liked the dynamic between JD and his scout friend Lightfoot (Neville Brand). George Kennedy was particularly good as the main villain. If you're a fan of the Duke, it's an easy watch and even if you're not that big on either John Wayne or Westerns, you may be interested by some of the character elements at work here. Give it a shot.
