Howling II: ...Your Sister is a Werewolf (1985)

Director: Philippe Mora
Starring: Christopher Lee, Annie McEnroe, Reb Brown

Synopsis:
An occult expert links the murder of a news anchor to the return of a powerful ancient werewolf.

Impressions:
The main reason you'd want to see this movie is Christopher Lee and indeed, he's awesome as always. Offset him with someone known more for meatheaded roles like Reb Brown and it's pretty funny. If you're the kind of person who's amused by "action star" Reb Brown, it adds to the entertainment value. There are actually some interesting things going on in the story, but they're not developed well. For instance, the character of Mariana, an ambitious young werewolf immune to silver, doesn't get to do much. They do get a lot of mileage out of the theme song, which adds to the very 80s atmosphere. And the end credits is one of the most bizarrely hilarious things I've seen in a while. It's not a particularly good movie, with poor special effects that are wisely kept out of focus, but there might just be enough for you to find it worthwhile, such as a werewolf-slaying midget (no, I'm not kidding and he's awesome).
