Marked for Death (1990)

Marked for Death (1990)

Director: Dwight H Little
Starring: Steven Seagal, Basil Wallace, Keith David

Synopsis:
A former DEA agent teams up with an Army buddy to take on a Jamaican drug lord.

Impressions:
I'm not a big fan of Steven Seagal. (I don't mind his role in Executive Decision, though. ^_^ ) However, this is one of the better of his films. I'd pass on it entirely if it weren't for Keith David. He's cool, of course, but is necessarily overshadowed by Seagal. I was actually surprised that there were some genuine Jamaicans in the cast because it really feels like it has the accuracy of the depiction of the Chinese in the 1930s serials. Good night, I don't even know what all the "blood clot" nonsense is about. The action scenes are okay, I guess. I didn't really enjoy it, but maybe if you bring your sense of humor, you can get some chuckles out of the hilariously bad dialog.
