John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)

John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)

Director: Chad Stahelski
Starring: Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Ian McShane

Synopsis:
Declared excommunicado for violating the sanctuary of the Continental, John Wick finds himself hunted by all the assassins in the underworld.

Impressions:
As much as I've enjoyed the previous two films in the series, I was worried the premise might be wearing thin and I feared that the inclusion of Halle Berry would take focus of the character of John. While I'll admit that the novelty is diminished by this point, the trademark action you look for in a John Wick movie is still strong in this one. We get some great and varied set pieces. Halle Berry's character only participates in the second act and her attack doggos make it all worth it. I particularly liked Mark Dacascos as primary antagonist Zero and the fight sequence with Cecep Arif Rahman and Yayan Ruhian is outstanding. Also, there's a sequel hook that's at least as promising as the one from the previous film, so if you're a fan, I'd say there's still more goodness to come. Give this one a watch at the very least, action fans.
