Impressions:
I really liked the first movie, so I almost went to see this when it was in the theaters. Having seen it, I'm glad I didn't pay $10 for it. I don't know what went wrong. The movie lost me when the gang escaped the facility and were running from the don't-use-the-Zed-word Cranks. That part was just a run-of-the-mill zombie movie and all the backstabbery that follows didn't engage me in the slightest. The first film had some novelty, but as the Divergent series saw, once you take your dystopian gimmick story and bring it outside the bubble, there's not nearly as much interest. I'm not going to bother with the third installment when it comes out and if you haven't seen this yet, I recommend keeping it that way.

[Ed. note: I did end up watching The Death Cure, so be sure to check out my review to see what happens.]
