Tremors 5: Bloodlines (2015)
Director: Don Michael Paul
Starring: Michael Gross, Jamie Kennedy, Pearl Thusi
Synopsis:
Burt gains a new cameraman for his struggling web series right as he is approached with an offer to help with a Graboid infestation in South Africa.
Impressions:
They've been wanting to bring the franchise to Australia since the second movie, but I guess South Africa will do in a pinch. There are a number of elements to the setting that plays well to how the franchise operates. Jamie Kennedy as Travis is probably the worst companion character in the series, who will make you miss Grady from Tremors 2. I did like Ian Roberts as the pilot Den Bravers and the rest of the supporting cast was fairly decent as well. This is probably the weakest entry in the series I've seen thus far, but there are still two more to go and I get the feeling they'll make this one look better in comparison. Take it or leave it.
