Synopsis:
Around the time Mai is graduating from high school, Sakuta has a vision of her as a little girl, which is a prelude to the latest manifestation of Adolescense Syndrome.
Impressions:
While I liked the previous two movies well enough, I didn't have a burning desire to see this film. However, with the new season coming as a direct continuation of the events here, I figured I ought to check it out. Sakuta's mother hasn't really been touched on much until now and this story is an opportunity to explore their broken relationship and how they might patch things up. If you're really invested in the characters, this is worth checking out, but this really doesn't have the sort of weight you would expect for a theatrical release. It's well enough worth a watch, but I would've been underwhelmed if I'd paid 2000 yen to see it.
