Synopsis:
The everyday antics of a city full of eccentrics.
Impressions:
For people in the know, all I need to say is that this is the spiritual successor to Nichijou, but for those who need a little more to go on. This is a quirky slice-of-life where the mundane is pushed to absurdity. Even more so than with Nichijou, KyoAni opts for a simple style to bring the original art to the screen, which may not seem as technically impressive from casual observation as some of their other works, but they're still putting the work in as always. The cast is likeable and there are a number of callbacks and recurring gags that connect everything from start to finish. It really is a charming little series and well worth a watch at the very least.
