Yours, Mine and Ours (1968)

Director: Melville Shavelson
Starring: Henry Fonda, Lucille Ball, Van Johnson
Synopsis:
A recently widowed Navy man hits it off with a nurse and both of them bring a lot to the relationship, namely a combined total of 18 kids.
Impressions:
This is another one of those entries in the family film canon that I've seen countless times. Rewatching it as an adult, I can appreciate a lot of what's going on with the character dynamics. Except for one scene in particular, Lucille Ball gives a rather restrained performance as Helen, which is a nice aversion for people who only know her from the comedy of I Love Lucy. With 18 children in total, only a handful get much attention as characters, but I do like Mike's character arc and Philip is pretty amusing. It's a nice story of trying to make a big family work and is worth a watch at the very least.
