Impressions:
When the trailers for this movie came out, I was mildly intrigued. Not intrigued enough, I guess, as it's nearly six years later that I'm getting around to watching it. Now, this movie didn't fare too well critically and it may just be an example of my low standards, but I liked it. There's some interesting worldbuilding with all different kinds of psychics and they don't waste too much time infodumping to clue you in. I particularly liked Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning's chemistry together. Djimon Honsou was also quite good in the villain's role as Agent Carver. On the Chinese side, I was particularly fond of Li Xiaolu as the rival Watcher (a precog) to Dakota Fanning's character. The special effects are up to snuff and setting the story in Hong Kong gave some nice atmosphere. If the premise sounds interesting to you and you like the main cast members, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Give it a watch.
